Coffee, Tea, or Ice Cream Anyone?
Nothing beats a good mug. Recently I have had an obsession with mugs and the multifaceted appeal of them. A good, strong mug can be used for coffee, tea, ice cream, soup, etc., the list goes on. Take a gander and some of the caaaaauuuute mugs I found and let me know creative ways that you use them!
This set is perfect for the holidays! A warm cup of clam chowder would be delightful in this mug! VIEW
Wouldn't these make great stocking stuffers?!?! I just adore these. VIEW

Music to my Heart
I am in LOVE with John Mayer's new Battle Studies CD. I LOOOOOOOVE John (yes we are on a first name basis) and his music. I must admit, we had a bit of a falling out after he broke Jessica's heart, but he won me back over with this album release. It is a MUST HAVE CD everyone should put on their Christmas list.

Will I ever read again!?!?
Ever since I completed the Twilight series, I have not been able to "get into" a book. I find myself wondering why I cant get that "I don't care if I only get 2 hours of sleep, don't even THINK about talking to me right now, I will give up my social life in a heartbeat just see what happens next," spell that the Twilight series put on me! I recently learned about books by Emily Griffin. I orderd two of her books and I just cant wait to get them in my little hands! EEEEEEEEEEK!!!! I'm super excited about a new series to start, but a little scared that my Twilight obsession has completely ruined me FOREVER!
The first book: And the Second:
Wish me luck!!!!

Man-Flu
From the VERY reliable source Urban Dictionary, "Man Flu" is described as:
The condition shared by all males wherein a common illness (usually a mild cold) is presented by the patient as life-threatening. The patient will exhibit the standard symptoms (such as an overwhelming desire for compassion) while simultaneously rejecting any and all efforts you make to placate him.
To see an actual case of the "Man Flu" click here.
What prompted my Man Flu entry today you ask? Weeeeell, a VERY clever 6 year old that I know heard her mom use the term this weekend when describing why her boyfriend did not attend a weekend get together. The mom (my boss) stated "he's not here today because has the man flu."
Yesterday when the "man" arrived at after school care to pick up the very clever 6 year old, she yelled "ewwwww he has the man flu" and proceeded to run and hide under a table. The teachers then looked at the "man" with confusion and he explained that he had been sick over the weekend.
Once the man convinced the very clever 6 year old and the teachers that it was safe for her to leave with him, he asked her where she heard the term "man flu." Without the slightest bit of hesitation, the very clever 6 year old then threw her mom under the bus and stated "that's what mommy told her friends this weekend."
Oh kids, they never miss a thing!!!!

Perfect Pumpkin Cream Pie
This is a no fuss, deeee-lish pie that is perfect for fall get togethers, comfort foods or movie nights in! I cheated and bought pre-made shortbread crust that you can find in the baking aisle. For the filling you will need:
8 oz softened cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin1 pkg.
(3.4 oz.) vanilla instant pudding
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or allspice)
2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
Cinnamon
Cinnamon
Beat cream cheese and sugar, add pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, milk and vanilla pudding beat until smooth. Add 2 cups cool whip and beat for 1 min. Spoon into cooled crust. Add remaining whip cream on the top and sprinkle with Cinnamon. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Enjoy with a yummy cup of Russian tea per my dear friend over at Wrapped in Raffia!

What gets you through your work day?
I don't know about you, but aside from my fabulous co-workers, PANDORA gets me thorough the day! I love how I can create a station and get a variety of songs played. It keeps me plugging along throughout the day with a smile on my face! Ohhhh the it's the little things in life.
So whats your "just get me through this day" vice?
